ACT (Active Cylinder Technology) and similar cylinder deactivation systems, such as COD, MDS and VDE, allow the engine to operate with only part of its cylinders active under light load. The ECU activates and deactivates cylinders depending on engine load and driving conditions.

For tuning and performance applications, frequent cylinder switching can cause unwanted vibrations, jerking, changes in engine sound and less consistent torque delivery. It can also put additional demand on the components responsible for cylinder activation/deactivation and, in some cases, contribute to actuator-related faults or efficiency issues.

Thanks to our ACT Deactivation Module disables the cylinder deactivation strategy in a single click, keeping all cylinders active during engine operation. This provides smoother and more consistent engine behavior, a more linear throttle response, and predictable power and torque delivery!
